To improve the learning of all students, teachers master the disciplines related to their teaching fields including central concepts, important facts or skills, and tools of inquiry; they anchor content in learning experiences that make the subject matter meaningful for all students.

 

Rationale: This category means that teachers are taking the initiative to master their craft to create an amazing experience for their students. To do so, teachers are responsible for educating themselves in each subject, so they can effectively reach their students. This category will be evident in the following assignments because they will showcase the initiative, I have taken to educate myself on certain subjects, so I can properly share my knowledge with my students. This category will be evident in my future classroom because my students would not be able to appropriately learn the required material if I do not hold myself accountable and master the disciplines related to what I am teaching.
